drunk miner - insied the mine the miners worship "tio gorge" wich means uncle gorge, the miners built a spaciel temple for him inside the mine.

potosi mines - a very interesting place. these mines contains silver and other minerals. at the begging of this mine the workers where slaves, after Bolivia received Independence they continued working in the mine but still didn´t get their rights since the mines where belong to the Spanish. Somewhere in the mid nineties the Bolivian government seized these mines and the miners start receiving proper conditions of working. though during whole this period around 8 million miners had died in the mines. once a man start working in the mine he has an estimated 8-12 years left to live since they get a lungs disease and dies of cancer. that means that they averagely live to the age of 38. today there are around 8000 miners working in the mine and they are in control of the mine. this mine has got more than 24 levels and several thousands of tunnels.

These two guys are part of workers that work for a communication company.
they invite us to spend the night in one of their rooms.
they were very curious of us and didn´t stop looking at us.
but they were very nice and welcoming.
